After a career in electronics / radio / computers and three or four divorces, I retired from my Chief Technology Officer position on the East Coast to an obscure village in the Philippines. At the time, my church had commissioned me as a Baptist Service Missionary. I had done my research. I had been to 68 other countries. I was ready to go. I had a five-year LDR with a true and good woman. “I knew what I was getting myself into.”
